Pete Seeger at 90- Campbie sez Thanks Mr Seeger

Just Got off phone w/ kate who’s headin’ down to new york with anna, chaim, debo, michael, lily and who knows else. They’re gonna be singin’ at Pete’s 90th Birthday Bash at Madison Square Gardens. We were talking about the Bells of Rhymney and when we fisrt saw Pete. Kate saw him at Her Majesty’s ( formerly His Majesty’s) on Guy street in the early 60’s. I didn’t discover him till about 68 or 69. Anyway Listening to him sing Rhymney, Fair & Tender ladies or pretty well any old thing when his voice was clear as a mountain stream in spring, remind me of John McCormack. The hih point of my musical life was when Chaim T. sang Fair and Tender Ladies at a party I threw here a couple of years ago. If you ever get a chance to hear Chaim sing- don’t miss it.
Happy Birthday Pete. Safe trip dear friends. if if if… Idris Davies
